Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin 
Economist, Writer
Prof. Alkin was born in 1969 in Istanbul. He wrote books about risk management and financial institutions and he was on the board of management for several multinational companies. He became a professor in 2002. Between 2000 and 2020 he was on duty in Secretary General of Turkish Exporters Assembly, Member of National Tax Council, Secretary General of Federation of Captive Finance Companies, Secretary General of Turkish Football Federation and member of UEFA Marketing Committee. Today he is a non-executive board member of Galatasaray Sportive Inc. Prof. Alkin holds various positions in GSM and Telecommunication, International Financial Institutions, Payment Systems, Energy and Iron-Steel Industries and takes part in international projects about payment systems and financial management. He is a columnist in the business newspaper DUNYA and has 2 best seller novel in Turkish about socio-economics and writes about new dimensions in the business life in various magazine. Prof. Alkin has two sons and speaks French and English.

Murat Palaoğlu

Murat Palaoğlu joined KPMG in 2012. Before joining KPMG, he worked as Inspector of customs  at the Prime Ministry Under secretariat of Customs (Customs and Trade Ministry) where he was promoted as the Chief inspector of Customs and Trade. He advised customs operations, global trade strategies, disputes and he investigated any kind of cases about foreign trade, trade or organized crime such as smuggling, corruption, money laundering etc. upon joining the firm in 2012. Murat leads Customs&Trade department in KPMG Turkey as a Partner where he serves his clients with audit, dispute, global trade advisory, customs operations and opportunities related advisory topics. He holds a master’s degree from Boston University, MA and holds a Turkey Customs Brokers license. Murat has wide experience in various multinational and local clients from multiple industries which include automotive, energy, pharmaceuticals, electronics etc. He is also a part time instructor in Istanbul University.
